One day, the queen of heaven gave Hou Yi a bottle elixir that could make Hou Yi bee an immortal, but the elixir was only efficacious for one person. Hou Yi did want to bee an immortal, but he wanted to stay with his beautiful wife Chang'e more, so he didn't drink the elixir and asked his wife Chang'e to keep it for him.

Hou Yi was being more and more famous after he shot down the nine suns and more and more men wanted Hou Yi to be their master. Most of them were accepted by Hou Yi.

Not every student of Hou Yi had good morality. Feng Meng, one of his students, wanted to seize his elixir. One day, Hou Yi went hunting with his students, but Feng Meng pretended to be ill and stay at home. When making sure Hou Yi had gone he went to Hou Yi's house and tried to force Chang'e to give him the elixir. Chang'e knew she couldn't defeat Feng Meng so she drank the elixir immediately. The elixir made her bee an immortal and fly higher and higher. Finally, she stopped on the moon.

From then on, people often pray to Chang'e for fortune and safety. During the Mid-Autumn Festival they offer lots of foods to Chang'e.

Wu Gang and the Cherry Bay

Wu Gang was a woodchopper. He always wanted to bee an immortal, but he never tried his best to learn the necessary theurgy. The Jade Emperor got angry with him because of his attitude. In order to punish him, the Jade Emperor planted a huge cherry bay, which was 1665 meters (5460 ft) high, on the moon and ordered Wu Gang to chop it down,中韓翻譯, then Wu Gang could bee an immortal.

This time, Wu Gang was very serious, but he could never finish his work. The cherry bay healed every time that Wu Gang chopped it. Wu Gang wouldn't give up. He tried time and time again.

THE PRESIDENT: Madam Principal, thank you for having us. Laura and I are honored to be here. During the moment of reflection, it is a time to ask for the Almighty's blessings on those who suffered, those who lost a loved one, and remember that there's always a more blessed day in the future. And that's what we're here to , a more blessed day. And there's no better place to do so than in a place of hope, and that's the school. And so we're honored that you would wele us. We love being with your teachers and your students. Thanks for being here.

Governor, thanks for ing. Governor Kathleen Blanco is an educational reformer. She has done what leaders are supposed to do -- when she sees a problem, address them head on, and pass law and budget necessary to achieve educational excellence. And you've done so, Governor. I congratulate you for your leadership.

I'm proud to be with the Congressman. Jeff, [sic] thanks for ing. You care deeply about the students of this district, and we're glad you're here.

I do want to thank Don Powell for joining us. Don is the recovery man who represents the White House and the administration here in Washington -- from -- in Louisiana from Washington. And I thank you for your service.

I appreciate the state education Superintendent Pastorek. Superintendent, thanks for ing. He's got a vision of excellence for the schools in New Orleans and for Louisiana. He shared that vision with us earlier.

I appreciate Paul Vallas, Superintendent here in New Orleans, for his willingness to take on this challenge. He doesn't view it as a problem, he views it as an opportunity. I first met Paul in Chicago, where he was an advocate then like he is today of high expectations and strong accountability to make sure every child learns.

I appreciate Hilda Young, Sister Finnerty -- she's the Superintendent of the Catholic School System here. I thank all the teachers, students and parents who've joined us.

Hurricane Katrina broke through the levees, it broke a lot of hearts, it destroyed buildings, but it didn't affect the spirit of a lot of citizens in this munity. This spirit can be best reflected when you think about a principal who refused to allow a school to be destroyed by the flood, and worked hard to not only rebuild the building, but keep the spirit alive. Or it can be reflected in the fact that teachers mute. We met a 7th grade teacher today who mutes 30 miles every day to be able to impart knowledge and to share wisdom with students who will be leading New Orleans in the future.

And so it's -- my attitude is this: New Orleans, better days are ahead. It's sometimes hard for people to see progress when you live in a munity all the time. Laura and I get to e -- we don't live here, we e on occasion. And it's easy to think about what it was like when we first came here after the hurricane, and what it's like today. And this town is ing back. This town is better today than it was yesterday, and it's going to be better tomorrow than it was today. And there's no better place to find that out than in the school system.

First, I do want to thank our fellow citizens for their generosity when it es to helping New Orleans and the Gulf Coast rebuild. The citizens of this country thus far have paid out $114 billion in tax revenues -- their money -- to help the folks down here. And I appreciate the Governor. Last night we went to -- we had a nice dinner here in New Orleans -- by the way, have yet to recover. (Laughter.) Dooky Chase's. If you want to eat a lot of good food, go there. But during that dinner, the Governor expressed her appreciation to the taxpayers of America. In other words, the taxpayers and people from all around the country have got to understand the people of this part of the world really do appreciate the fact that the American citizens are supportive of the recovery effort.

Of the $114 billion spent so far -- and resources allocated so far, about 80 percent of the funds have been disbursed or available. And, of course, Don and I will try to work through the bureaucracy in Washington, just like folks down here are trying to work through the bureaucracy to make sure that there are adequate plans for the money. And so we're working through this kind of collaborative effort of federal, state and local folks working together to make sure that taxpayers' money is spent wisely on priorities.

But there's been a mitment, and a strong mitment. A lot of people down here probably wondered whether or not those of us in the federal government not from Louisiana would pay attention to Louisiana or Mississippi. In other words, it's one thing to e and give a speech in Jackson Square; it's another thing to keep paying attention to whether or not progress is being made. And I hope people understand we do, we're still paying attention. We understand.

One of Don Powell's jobs is to make sure that the federal government understands the hurdles that remain for recovery. One hurdle was the levee system. We fully understand that New Orleans can't be rebuilt until there's confidence in the levees. It's one thing to plan; it's another thing to convince people that the levees will work. And there's been a lot of effort by the Army Corps of Engineers. As a matter of fact, Don Powell announced the other day that we're going to plete work to plete storm and flood protection infrastructure to a hundred-year protection level by . And that's a mitment, and it's an important mitment to make.

We're also going to fund a $1.3 billion network of interior drainage projects to ensure the area has better hurricane protection. In other words, there's federal responsibilities; the levee system is the federal responsibility, and we'll meet our responsibility. And obviously we want to work together with the state and local governments, as well. Obviously it's a collaborative effort.

One of the things that Kathleen and I have been working on a long time is wetlands restoration in order to provide more protection for the folks down here. We got a good bill out of the Congress and there's an opportunity now for Louisiana to have the cash funds necessary to begin a serious and substantive wetlands restoration program.

I appreciate the fact that Al Gonzales was down yesterday, talking about how the federal government can help on local law enforcement matters. I firmly believe local law enforcement is just that -- local. It requires a mitment by the local folks to hold people to account for crime. But the federal government can help. And so Al was down yesterday, announcing and opening a family justice center to help the victims of domestic violence. The VA is going to build a medical center in downtown New Orleans as part of the federal mitment to helping people here recover.

And so I e telling the folks in this part of the world that we still understand there's problems and we're still engaged. And Don will continue to make sure that we listen and respond when possible.

But let me talk about the school system. There is nothing more hopeful than a good school system. And I firmly believe that excellence in education is going to be the leading edge of change for New Orleans. Margaret Spellings, who is the Secretary of Education, understands this concept. The government has provided Louisiana with more than $700 million in emergency education funds to help not only the public school system, but also the parochial school system. And that's money well spent. It's money spent on construction, it's money spent on creating incentives for teachers to return, it's money incent to make sure children who went to other school districts -- those school districts got reimbursed. It was good money spent, because education needs to be the number-one priority of the state, just like Kathleen Blanco has made that the priority.

New Orleans is about to open 80 schools -- nearly 80 schools this fall. That's a remarkable achievement -- nearly half of which happen to be charter schools. I believe in freedom to manage and accountability to make sure everybody learns. And that's the essence of the charter school movement: freedom to manage, but accountability to make sure no child gets left behind.

And that's the spirit of the Superintendent -- both Superintendents here. They believe in high expectations and measuring. It's what I call challenging the soft bigotry of low expectations. If you don't believe that somebody can learn you'll set low expectations. If you believe every child can learn you'll raise the expectations and then you'll insist upon measurement to make sure that each child is tracked, that we disaggregate results. That's a fancy word for making sure that we understand whether or not each school is meeting certain standards, and then help for those that aren't, changes for those that aren't, and praise for those that are. And we're at MLK and we're here to heap praise. (Applause.)

This is the first public school to open in the Lower Ninth Ward. It is a tribute to volunteers, concerned parents and citizens who care about education. It is a tribute to the fact that there's teachers who taught in makeshift classrooms during renovations -- in other words, they care about the buildings, but they care more about education and were willing to teach no matter what the circumstances may be. And it's a tribute to a principal who had a clear vision. (Applause.) So we're here to herald excellence and to thank the good folks in this munity for supporting this school, with the understanding that this school is one of the great beacons for hope.

I want to thank the educational entrepreneurs who've joined us, those who are in the process of helping find new teachers. Teachers -- there was a great concern, obviously, when the schools were reopening, whether or not there would be enough teachers. And people responded. People responded to the call to help provide at a grassroots level the support necessary to encourage people to teach. Teach NOLA is such an example. If you're interested in being a teacher from around the country, get on the Internet on Teach NOLA and you'll find opportunities to e here to New Orleans to teach.

We've got somebody from Washington who came down to help rally support for the school system. Teach For America is active in this munity. The charter school system, by the way, spawns all kinds of different opportunities for people to be involved with schools. I think of KIPP McDonogh 15 School. It's a high standard school. It is a school that says, if there are rules that prevent us from teaching we'll try to figure out how to get around them, because what matters more than anything is teaching the child.

I was impressed that when they got in the school system, when they first got going in this particular school, they extended the school day with class every other Saturday. They said, what does it take to catch up? What do we need to do to meet standards? And the principal -- the former principal put it this way: "It took a hurricane to speed up and really jump-start the reform efforts in New Orleans." In other words, the hurricane was disastrous for many reasons, but it also gave a great opportunity for a new way forward, seized by the Governor and the Superintendents and the principals, by the way.

Laura and I care a lot about the libraries. That's why we're dedicating books. We're proud to be a part of the rebuilding of this library. Laura has got a foundation and has established the Gulf Coast Library Recovery Initiative, all aiming to make sure that these libraries are stocked with books. You ought to apply to her foundation, by the way. (Laughter and applause.) I think you'll have a good opportunity. I'll try to work it for you. (Laughter.)

I'll never forget, one time when I was governor of Texas, a woman looked at me and she said, "Reading is the new civil right." It had a profound impact on the policies that we have pursued since I've been in public office, and Laura has pursued as a lifelong reader. And that person was right. It's that spirit, by the way, that is going to allow me to predict with certainty New Orleans' better days are ahead for the New Orleans people. I mean, this is -- and there are stories like Rebecca all over this munity, people who have heard a call to e back and help. No better way to help, by the way, than to teach.

But there are all kinds of different ways people can help the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast recover. You can contribute to the NGOs or the local organizations that are still helping heal hearts. You can help with sending books to schools. You can get on websites to determine where the needs are. If you're a citizen of this country who cares about making sure this part of the region fully recovers, please participate. Please find a way to help and continue to do so.

So, Governor, I'm honored you're here. Laura and I are thrilled to be in this school. We're really pleased that MLK School has given us an opportunity to herald excellence. We care deeply about the folks in this part of the world. We ask for God's blessings on the families who still hurt and suffer. And we thank God for the recovery efforts that thus far have taken place.

翻譯:十大常用英汉与汉英翻译技巧

英汉两种语言在句法、词汇、修辞等方面均存在着很大的差异,因此在进行英汉互译时必然会遇到很多困难,需要有一定的翻译技巧作指导。常用的翻译技巧有增译法、省译法、转换法、拆句法、合并法、正译法、反译法、倒置法、包孕法、插入法、重组法和综合法等十种。

一、增译法

指根据英汉两种语言不同的思维方式、语言习惯和表达方式,在翻译时增添一些词、短句或句子,以便更准确地表达出原文所包含的意义。这种方式多半用在汉译英里。汉语无主句较多,而英语句子一般都要有主语,所以在翻译汉语无主句的时候,除了少数可用英语无主句、被动语态或"There be…"结构来翻译以外,一般都要根据语境补出主语,使句子完整。英汉两种语言在名词、代词、连词、介词和冠词的使用方法上也存在很大差别。英语中代词使用频率较高,凡说到人的器官和归某人所有的或与某人有关的事物时,必须在前面加上物主代词。因此,在汉译英时需要增补物主代词,而在英译汉时又需要根据情况适当地删减。英语词与词、词组与词组以及句子与句子的逻辑关系一般用连词来表示,而汉语则往往通过上下文和语序来表示这种关系。因此,在汉译英时常常需要增补连词。英语句子离不开介词和冠词。另外,在汉译英时还要注意增补一些原文中暗含而没有明言的词语和一些概括性、注释性的词语,以确保译文意思的完整。总之,通过增译,一是保证译文语法结构的完整,二是保证译文意思的明确。如:

(1)What about calling him right away?

马上给他打个电话,你觉得如何? (增译主语和谓语)

(2)If only I could see the realization of the four modernizations.

要是我能看到四个现代化实现该有多好啊!(增译主句)

(3) Indeed, the reverse is true.

实际情况恰好相反。(增译名词)

(4) Even the people in the fascist countries were stripped of their human rights.

(增译物主代词)就是法西斯国家本国的人民也被剥夺了人权。

(5)只许州官放火,不许百姓点灯。

While the magistrates were free to burn down house, the common people were forbidden to light lamps. (增译连词)

(6)这是我们两国人民的又一个共同点。

This is yet another common point between the people of our two countries.(增译介词)

(7)在人权领域,中国反对以大欺小、以强凌弱。

In the field of human rights, China opposes the practice of the big oppressing the small and the strong bullying the weak.(增译暗含词语)

(8)三个臭皮匠,合成一个诸葛亮。

Three cobblers with their wits combined equal Zhuge Liang the mastermind.(增译注释性词语)

二、省译法

这是与增译法相对应的一种翻译方法,即删去不符合目标语思维习惯、语言习惯和表达方式的词,以避免译文累赘。增译法的例句反之即可。省词译法指的是把原文中需要而译文中不需要的单词、词组等在翻译过程中加以省略。这种省略一般是出于译文中语义或修辞、语法或习惯表达法的需要。但省略并不是把原文的某些思想内容删除,而应视以下两种情况而定。

1. 为了译文中语义或修辞方面的需要而省略。删除重复、多余的单词、词组或短语等。

2. 为了译文语法或习惯表达法的需要。汉语重意合(parataxis),英语重形合(hypostasis),英译汉时,译文中可省略不必要的代词、冠词、介词、连接词等。

(1)You will be staying in this hotel during your visit in Beijing.

你在北京访问期间就住在这家饭店里。(省译物主代词)

(2)I hope you will enjoy your stay here.

希望您在这儿过得愉快。(省译物主代词)

(3)中国政府历来重视环境保护工作。

The Chinese government has always attached great importance to environmental protection. (省译名词)

(4)University applicants who had worked at a job would receive preference over those who had not.

  报考大学的人,有工作经验的优先录取。

(5) When Rontgen put his hand before X-ray, he saw the bones of his hands only.

  伦琴把手放在X射线前面时,只见到手上的骨头。

(6) The intensity of sound is inversely proportional to the square of the distance measured from the source of the sound.

  声音的强度与声源距离的平方成反比。

  (7)If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

冬天来了,春天还会远吗?

三、转换法

指翻译过程中为了使译文符合目标语的表述方式、方法和习惯而对原句中的词类、句型和语态等进行转换。具体的说,就是在词性方面,把名词转换为代词、形容词、动词;把动词转换成名词、形容词、副词、介词;把形容词转换成副词和短语。在句子成分方面,把主语变成状语、定语、宾语、表语;把谓语变成主语、定语、表语;把定语变成状语、主语;把宾语变成主语。在句型方面,把并列句变成复合句,把复合句变成并列句,把状语从句变成定语从句。在语态方面,可以把主动语态变为被动语态。如:

(1) 我们学院受教委和市政府的双重领导。

Our institute is co-administrated by the States Education Commission and the municipal government. (名词转动词)

(2)Too much exposure to TV programs will do great harm to the eyesight of children.

孩子们看电视过多会大大地损坏视力。(名词转动词)

(3)由于我们实行了改革开放政策,我国的综合国力有了明显的增强。

Thanks to the introduction of our reform and opening policy, our comprehensive national strength has greatly improved. (动词转名词)

(4) I’m all for you opinion.

我完全赞成你的意见。(介词转动词)

(5)The reform and opening policy is supported by the whole Chinese people.

改革开放政策受到了全中国人民的拥护。(动词转名词)

(6)In his article the author is critical of man’s negligence toward his environment.

作者在文章中,对人类疏忽自身环境作了批评。(形容词转名词)

(7)In some of the European countries, the people are given the biggest social benefits such as medical insurance.

在有些欧洲国家里,人民享受最广泛的社会福利,如医疗保险等。(被动语态转主动语态)

(8)时间不早了,我们回去吧!

We don’t have much time left. Let’s go back. (句型转换)

(9)学生们都应该德、智、体全面发展。

All the students should develop morally, intellectually and physically. (名词转副词)

四、拆句法和合并法

这是两种相对应的翻译方法。拆句法是把一个长而复杂的句子拆译成若干个较短、较简单的句子,通常用于英译汉;合并法是把若干个短句合并成一个长句,一般用于汉译英。汉语强调意合,结构较松散,因此简单句较多;英语强调形合,结构较严密,因此长句较多。所以汉译英时要根据需要注意利用连词、分词、介词、不定式、定语从句、独立结构等把汉语短句连成长句;而英译汉时又常常要在原句的关系代词、关系副词、主谓连接处、并列或转折连接处、后续成分与主体的连接处,以及意群结束处将长句切断,译成汉语分句。这样就可以基本保留英语语序,顺译全句,顺应现代汉语长短句相替、单复句相间的句法修辞原则。如:

(1) Increased cooperation with China is in the interests of the United States.

同中国加强合作,符合美国的利益。 (在主谓连接处拆译)

(2)I wish to thank you for the incomparable hospitality for which the Chinese people are justly famous throughout the world.

我要感谢你们无与伦比的盛情款待。中国人民正是以这种热情好客而闻明世界的。(在定语从句前拆译)

(3)This is particularly true of the countries of the commonwealth, who see Britain’s membership of the Community a guarantee that the policies of the community will take their interests into account.

英联邦各国尤其如此,它们认为英国加入欧共体,将能保证欧共体的政策照顾到它们的利益。(在定语从句前拆译)

(4)中国是个大国,百分之八十的人口从事农业,但耕地只占土地面积的十分之一,其余为山脉、森林、城镇和其他用地。

China is a large country with four-fifths of the population engaged in agriculture, but only one tenth of the land is farmland, the rest being mountains, forests and places for urban and other uses.(合译)

五、正译法和反译法

这两种方法通常用于汉译英,偶尔也用于英译汉。所谓正译,是指把句子按照与汉语相同的语序或表达方式译成英语。所谓反译则是指把句子按照与汉语相反的语序或表达方式译成英语。正译与反译常常具有同义的效果,但反译往往更符合英语的思维方式和表达习惯。因此比较地道。如:

(1)在美国,人人都能买到枪。

In the United States, everyone can buy a gun. (正译)

In the United States, guns are available to everyone. (反译)

(2)你可以从因特网上获得这一信息。

You can obtain this information on the Internet. (正译)

This information is accessible/available on the Internet. (反译)

(3)他突然想到了一个新主意。

Suddenly he had a new idea. (正译)

He suddenly thought out a new idea. (正译)

A new idea suddenly occurred to/struck him. (反译)

(4)他仍然没有弄懂我的意思。

He still could not understand me. (正译)

Still he failed to understand me. (反译)

(5)无论如何,她算不上一位思维敏捷的学生。

She can hardly be rated as a bright student. (正译)

She is anything but a bright student. (反译)

(6) Please withhold the document for the time being.

请暂时扣下这份文件。(正译)

请暂时不要发这份文件。(反译)

六、倒置法

在汉语中,定语修饰语和状语修饰语往往位于被修饰语之前;在英语中,许多修饰语常常位于被修饰语之后,因此翻译时往往要把原文的语序颠倒过来。倒置法通常用于英译汉, 即对英语长句按照汉语的习惯表达法进行前后调换,按意群或进行全部倒置,原则是使汉语译句安排符合现代汉语论理叙事的一般逻辑顺序。有时倒置法也用于汉译英。如:

(1)At this moment, through the wonder of telecommunications, more people are seeing and hearing what we say than on any other occasions in the whole history of the world.

此时此刻,通过现代通信手段的奇迹,看到和听到我们讲话的人比整个世界历史上任何其他这样的场合都要多。(部分倒置)

(2)I believe strongly that it is in the interest of my countrymen that Britain should remain an active and energetic member of the European Community.

我坚信,英国依然应该是欧共体中的一个积极的和充满活力的成员,这是符合我国人民利益的。(部分倒置)

(3)改革开放以来,中国发生了巨大的变化。

Great changes have taken place in China since the introduction of the reform and opening policy. (全部倒置)

七、包孕法

这种方法多用于英译汉。所谓包孕是指在把英语长句译成汉语时,把英语后置成分按照汉语的正常语序放在中心词之前,使修饰成分在汉语句中形成前置包孕。但修饰成分不宜过长,否则会形成拖沓或造成汉语句子成分在连接上的纠葛。如:

(1)You are the representative of a country and of a continent to which China feels particularly close. 您是一位来自于使中国倍感亲切的国家和大洲的代表。

(2)What brings us together is that we have common interests which transcend those differences. 使我们走到一起的,是我们有超越这些分歧的共同利益。

八、插入法

指把难以处理的句子成分用破折号、括号或前后逗号插入译句中。这种方法主要用于笔译中。偶尔也用于口译中,即用同位语、插入语或定语从句来处理一些解释性成分。如:

如果说宣布收回香港就会像夫人说的"带来灾难性的影响",那我们要勇敢地面对这个灾难,做出决策。

If the announcement of the recovery of Hong Kong would bring about, as Madam put it, “disastrous effects,” we will face that disaster squarely and make a new policy decision.

九、重组法

在进行英译汉时,为了使译文流畅和更符合汉语叙事论理的习惯,在捋清英语长句的结构、弄懂英语原意的基础上,彻底摆脱原文语序和句子形式,对句子进行重新组合。如:

Decision must be made very rapidly; physical endurance is tested as much as perception, because an enormous amount of time must be spent making certain that the key figures act on the basis of the same information and purpose.

必须把大量时间花在确保关键人物均根据同一情报和目的行事,而这一切对身体的耐力和思维能力都是一大考验。因此,一旦考虑成熟,决策者就应迅速做出决策。

十、综合法

是指单用某种翻译技巧无法译出时,着眼篇章,以逻辑分析为基础,同时使用转换法、倒置法、增译法、省译法、拆句法等多种翻译技巧的方法。如:

How can the European Union contribute to the development of a European film and television program industry which is competitive in the world market, forward-looking and capable of radiating the influence of European culture and of creating jobs in Europe?

欧洲联盟应该怎样做才能对欧洲的电影电视工业有所贡献,使它在国际市场上具有竞争能力,使它有能力发挥欧洲文化的影响,并且能够在欧洲创造更多的就业机会呢?

翻譯關於CET4

  聽力攷試是英語過級攷試中很重要的部分,記得噹時在大壆讀書時,我的一位室友一上聽力課就緊張,每次聽力攷試都攷的一塌糊涂。她的CET4過了三次才勉強通過,後來我們給她分析原因,就是太緊張了。

  根据我的一點經驗和我同壆的失敗的經驗,我總結了一點一點心得,願意提供給大傢以供參攷。

  1.作聽力時,放松情緒,告訴自己這只是一個簡單的測驗,沒什麼大不了的。其實之前,我和我的室友都很緊張,後來我發現每次我放松時,比如我平時自測時,出錯率明顯很低。所以每到正式攷試時,攷前我都會做一下深呼吸或想些與攷試無關的事情,以放松我的情緒。

  2.但是一旦開始攷試,聽力做的時候要思想高度集中,一點都不能走神。因為一走神,就會錯過噹時正在播放的題目,然後心情會變的緊張,導緻後面的連續僟個題目都聽不好。

  3.理解好題意,做到心中有數。剛發下試卷的時候,首先應該把題中所問的問題大體瀏覽一遍,作到心中有數,這樣做的好處是:第一,可以判斷所聽內容,第二, 依据上下文有助於預測答案。這樣在聽錄音的時候,我們就可以不免緊張,可以有針對性的去聽,尋找有傚信息。

  4.關於短文, 使用速記方法,從文中找出答案。所說的速記就是用一些簡單的符號。縮寫、字母記下所聽到的內容,不讓關鍵單詞漏網。

  5.聽懂主要信息資料,不必完全理解你所聽到的每個詞和每句話。因為在那麼短的時間內,我們不可能抓住所有的每個詞,所以只要聽懂大概意思即可。

  6.聽力貴在堅持,最好不要間斷,更不能好僟天什麼都不聽,特別是攷前,更要保持狀態,噹然也要注意保護耳朵,所以建議攷前一周隔一天聽一次攷題,或者自己認為的難點。

  7. 聽力裏面很重要的就是要注意總結短語的用法意思,了解聽力中經常出現的短語,對於聽力的提高有很大幫助。

  8.平常練習時,一般聽三遍,第一遍(早上),全篇仔細聽一遍,勾選答案,然後對炤原文,看看哪些沒聽出來或聽錯了,做出標記。第二遍(中午),精聽出錯的地方,聽一遍。第三遍(晚上)把今天做過的再拿出來聽一遍,看看自己是不是能全部聽出來。

詞匯活用很重要 擺脫英語作文垃圾詞的絕技

相信大傢都有這樣的感受,明明是揹了很多的單詞,可寫作文時,總是用一些高中或小壆的詞匯。(又稱垃圾詞匯),為了更好的克服這樣的情況,我總結了一些常用的替代語,希望對大傢有所幫助:

浅谈英语中的象声词 提高你攻克英语的信心

汉语中有象声词,也叫摹声词,顾名思义,指那些模仿自然声音的词。英语同样有nomatopeia,它们分别归于动词、名词类。英语中有些字母的发音象征某种气氛、意境,能使人产生相应的联想。如s是咝音字母,它常常和风的飕飕声、水的唰唰声、蛇的咝咝声有这样那样的联系;m是鼻音字母,它常常表示低沉的声音,如人的窃窃私语、虫子的嗡嗡声、鸽子的咕咕声和海啸声;h是吐气音,它常常和气喘、费劲相联系,如hurry, heave , huge, hurl, hoist , hop。b和p是唇音字母,它常常表示和水有关的的声音,如boil, bubble, drip, drop, lap, plop, ripple;r是卷舌摩擦音,发音粗糙生硬,它常常表示噪音和其它令人不愉快的声音,如洪水、战争、大破坏等。镶嵌进象声词,可使你文章中的人物和动作,栩栩如生,呼之欲出。掌握这些象声词可提高你攻克英语的信心,进而增强驾御语言的能力,但这类词一般汉英词典又很难查到, 故特撰此文,以备您不时之需。

一、万物之灵——人的声音

1.表示人哭的象声词

cry:哭,喊,未必有泪。

Weep:流泪,哭泣。

Wail:大声痛哭,尖叫。

Shed:流泪。

Tears:泪水。

Howl:大声哭。

Blubber:嚎啕大哭。

Whisper:低语。

Shriek:尖叫声

Murmur:喃喃说话声,隔壁的人语声

Thud:撞击软物的沉闷的声响(撞击软物,砰然落下)。 The car hit the farmer with a sickening thud.

Thump:重击声。The sack of cement hit the ground with a thump .

toot:号角、喇叭等的嘟嘟声。The driver tooted his horn as he approached the bend.

Totter:snigger, fizz:嘶嘶声,噼啪声。The fizz of a firework。

Zoom:飞行器、汽车在快速移动时的嗡嗡声。The jet zoomed lower over our heads.

散文:A Little Piece of Me 生命的過客

When he told me he was leaving I felt like a vase which has just smashed. There were pieces of me all over the tidy, tan tiles. He kept talking, telling me why he was leaving, explaining it was for the best, I could do better, it was his fault and not mine. I had heard it before many times and yet somehow was still not immune; perhaps one did not become immune to such felony.

He left and I tried to get on with my life. I filled the kettle and put it on to boil, I took out my old red mug and filled it with coffee watching as each coffee granule slipped in to the bone china. That was what my life had been like, endless omissions of coffee granules, somehow never managing to make that cup of coffee.

Somehow when the kettle piped its finishing warning I pretended not to hear it. That's what Mike's leaving had been like,口譯翻譯, sudden and with an awful finality. I would rather just wallow in uncertainty than have things finished. I laughed at myself. Imagine getting all philosophical and sentimental about a mug of coffee. I must be getting old.

And yet it was a young woman who stared back at me from the mirror. A young woman full of promise and hope, a young woman with bright eyes and full lips just waiting to take on the world. I never loved Mike anyway. Besides there are more important things. More important than love, I insist to myself firmly. The lid goes back on the coffee just like closure on the whole Mike experience.

He doesn't haunt my dreams as I feared that night. Instead I am flying far across fields and woods, looking down on those below me. Suddenly I fall to the ground and it is only when I wake up that I realize I was shot by a hunter, brought down by the burden of not the bullet but the soul of the man who shot it. I realize later, with some degree of understanding, that Mike was the hunter holding me down and I am the bird that longs to fly. The next night my dream is similar to the previous nights, but without the hunter. I fly free until I meet another bird who flies with me in perfect harmony. I realize with some relief that there is a bird out there for me, there is another person, not necessarily a lover perhaps just a friend, but there is someone out there who is my soul mate. I think about being a broken vase again and realize that I have glued myself back together, what Mike has is merely a little part of my time in earth, a little understanding of my physical being. He has only, a little piece of me.

噹他告訴我他要離開的時候,我感覺自己就像花瓶裂成了碎片,跌落在茶色瓷塼地板上。他一直在說話,解釋著為什麼要離開,說什麼這是最好的,我可以做得更好,都是他的錯,與我無關。雖然這些話我已經聽上好僟千遍了,可每次聽完都讓我很受傷,或許在這樣巨大的打擊面前沒有人能做到無動於衷。

他走了,我嘗試著繼續過自己的生活。我燒開水,拿出紅色杯子,看著咖啡粉末一點點地落入骨灰瓷的杯子裏。這正是我自己的尟活寫炤,不斷地往下掉咖啡粉末,卻從來沒有真正地泡成一杯咖啡。

水開了,水壺發出警報聲,我假裝沒有聽見。邁克的離去也是一樣,突如其來,並且無可挽回。要知道,我寧願忍受分與不分的煎熬,也不願意以這樣的方式被宣判“死刑”。想著想著我就啞然失笑,自己竟然為一杯咖啡有如此多的人生感懷,我自己一定是老了。

可是鏡子裏回瞪著我的那個女孩還是那麼年輕啊,五姊妹翻譯社!明目暠齒,充滿了前途與希望,光明的未來在向她招手。沒關係的,反正我也從來沒有愛過邁克。何況,生命中還有比愛更重要的東西在等待著我,我對自己堅持說。我將咖啡罐的蓋子蓋好,也將所有關於邁克的記憶塵封起來。

那天晚上,出乎意料的是,他並沒有入到我的夢中。在夢裏,我飛過田埜和森林,俯瞰著大地。突然間,我掉了下來……醒來後才發現原來自己被獵人打中了,但是令我墜落的不是他的子彈,而是他的靈魂。我後來才漸漸明白,原來邁克就是那個使我墜落的獵人,而我是那只渴望飛翔的小鳥。到了第二天晚上,我仍然做了類似的夢,但是獵人不見了,我一直在自由地飛翔,直到遇上另外一只小鳥和我比翼雙飛。我開始意識到,總有那麼一只鳥,那麼一個人在前面等我,這個人可能是我的愛人,可能只是朋友,但一定是知我懂我的人,這令我感覺如釋重負。我想起曾經覺得自己像花瓶一樣裂開了,才意識到原來自己已經把自己修理好了。邁克只是我生命過程中的小小過客,他僅僅了解我的表面,他僅僅是我生命中的小小一部分。

國慶60年獻禮 不折騰最佳譯法

在紀唸改革開放30周年大會上,胡總 書記在講話中的一句北方方言“不折騰”,難倒了中外翻譯精英。如何准確翻譯“不折騰”,一時間眾說紛紜,網友集思廣益,紛紛提出自己的想法。近來網上出現一種驚人譯法,堪稱神來之筆,可謂翻譯界給國慶60年的最佳獻禮:

福建之行——漫步龙头路

离开音乐厅,随着人流来到灯火通明的龙头路,这里是鼓浪屿主要的商业街区。大量的海鲜排挡、食品店、特产店和各种饮品店遍布其间。我们看到了游记中有名的马拉桑饮品店,喝了一杯鲜榨橙汁。附近还有黄胜记肉脯店,这里的特点是店员给围拢的游客每人剪一大块猪肉脯试尝。这与别处只给一丁点样品试吃的店铺形成了很强的对比。因此每个人都买了不少袋装肉脯。他的营销手段确实厉害,生意真的很旺。黄胜记品种非常多,像肉松、肉粒、肉柳、肉脯,50元4袋送一个红色的小旅行袋。我们在琳琅满目的样品前琢磨了很久才选定了鸡松、牛肉松,牛肉粒、牛肉柳四种。走过一个街口,附近也有一家叫黄胜记肉脯店,却门可罗雀。

 

在随后几天的鼓浪屿游览中,我们又在较为偏僻的街道看到一些有名的小吃店,在原巷口鱼丸店吃了个午餐。在这里买特产要注意,有很多的冒牌店,个个都打出正宗的招牌,游记中有很多关于正宗特产店地址和特征的描述,我就不细说了。

 

我的办法是相信群众的眼光,找人最多的店买东西。走不了多远就到了泉州路,这里已经灯光昏暗,只能依据路边的指示牌,走了一些弯路,问了人才找回码头。也许,前面一拐弯,就能看到目的地,但是由于街道非常相似,所以很难分辨,相信去过鼓浪屿的人都有同感,应该没有人能够单靠那张手绘地图独自找齐景点。乘船返回到轮渡,这里依然灯火通明,车辆人流络绎不绝,厦门定住宿哪家更便宜,井井有条。黄色明亮的如家快捷酒店的招牌灯箱就在马路对面。距离轮渡近的优点在随后的几天劳碌的游玩中显现了很大的优势。后来几天,我下午四点钟回酒店洗澡休息,晚上接着出行,没有这么方便的住宿会辛苦很多。

从轮渡到全市各大景点,例如火车站、集美、市中心、环岛路、厦大、南普陀都在这里有大量的车次,门口的L1BRT链接线只需一站路就到第一码头站(3条BRT线路的终点站)。在此可以转全市各地,附近有轮船码头,厦门的交通设计四通八达,各种交通工具换乘方便,每个时段街上的士空车很多,随后几天,我们去很多地方都是有直达公交,根本不需要打的,真正的做到了以人为本。与平民百姓怨声载道的广州交通相比,真是天壤之别。
